Maria Ramos has come a long way in a short amount of time. She used to be a stay at home mom taking online classes at Yuba College. After looking into Cambridge Junior College’s Medical Assistant Program she decided to take the plunge and apply. “I chose Cambridge because it was only a 9-month program and great stepping stone into the medical field as I plan to further my education and become an RN.”

After arriving at school Maria realized she made the right choice. In addition to the scrupulous program, experienced staff and dedicated school administrators Maria enjoyed opening up and socializing with her medical assisting peers. She recounts her best memories as time spent with the teachers and all the hands-on training the students got to do.

But this success story doesn’t end here. Maria states, “my future goal is to go back to school and get my nursing degree and become an OB.” Luckily, Cambridge has got Maria covered for that also! Once Maria becomes a RN she can takes Cambridge’s Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN). The Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is for currently licensed nurses who have earned their associate degree at an accredited college and wish to upgrade their skills to become a leader in nursing healthcare. Maria you’ve come this far and we know that you got this!

So what is Maria’s biggest motivating factor? “My inspiration is my daughter. If it wasn’t for her I wouldn’t be where I am at today. She is my motivation!” Can you identify with Maria? Do you have a little one of your own? Are you looking to further your education? Let’s look to Maria for some major inspiration. She did it and so can you!
